Is peace something we find, or something we create within ourselves?

Peace is often seen as something we search for in places, people, or circumstances, yet many believe it begins from within. This discussion invites reflection on whether peace is discovered externally or cultivated internally, and how our thoughts, choices, and mindset shape the calm we experience in life

Peace often feels like one of those concepts demystified for everyone until you sit with it on the couch and ask it to coordinate certain tasks.

On some occasions, it acts like a surrogate in a serene place, peaceful co-existence, financial stability, dream actualisation, mission achievement, vision activation, career accomplishment or moments where things are finally approaching the right.

External circumstances absolutely matter.

Is peace something we find, or something we create within ourselves?

In either, peace is got, though only through tricky ways. We have peace searchers and peace makers. Both people use different methodologies to get peace but at the end, the goal is peace.

To my aspect of view, peace needs to be created from within first so that our mindset is tuned to find peace around us. Sometimes the peace we find is often attracted from our mindset and our actions.

Is Peace Something We Find, or Something We Create Within Ourselves?

For me, peace is neither easy to find nor simple to create. As human beings, we are constantly surrounded by influences that shape us in countless ways — mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Life brings pressures, responsibilities, disappointments, and challenges that can quietly steal our sense of calm. With so many factors pulling at us from different directions, achieving true peace can feel almost impossible at times.

Peace is not hiding somewhere, waiting to be discovered like lost keys.
It is a discipline. A quiet rebellion.
A decision renewed every morning.
We search for it in places and people,
hoping the world will soften enough
for us to finally rest.
But the world has never promised softness.
It promises motion.
Peace is what happens
when the mind stops negotiating with chaos.
When the heart learns the ancient skill
of standing still inside noise.
It is built the way old houses were built—

‎The debate is always a heated one between these two verbs "find" and "create", and the temperature of expectations is alarmingly levitating to the heavens, where the clouds judge by observation of indifference, and the sun and sky diamonds record the time of impression.

*Is peace something we find, or something we create within ourselves?*

Peace is not a product to be traded. It is something you choose to keep or let go of - often followed by regret.

There are different types of peace, depending on where it belongs.

1) Peace of mind
This can be gained only if one chooses to. We must maintain distance from anything that disturbs our thoughts, causes worry, or places mental pressure on us.
