Dr. Padma Charan Dhal is a distinguished economist, retired Associate Professor, and prolific researcher with over 35 years of experience in teaching, policy development, and economic thought leadership. With a strong foundation economics, law, and public administration, he has mentored thousands of students and contributed significantly to acdemic and policy reform across India.
Dr. Dhal hods a Ph.D. in Economics from Uktal University, supported by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), alongside postraduate degrees in Analytical Economics, General Economics, Public Administration, and Law. His academic journey began with First-Class Honours in Economics from Sambalpur University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dhal served in vaious degree colleges across Odisha, enriching the fields of macroeconomics, governance, and rural development. He led multiple research projects funded by ICSSR and UGC, producing widely cited publications on economic policy, development studies, and public administration. His policy insights and academic leadership extended to curriculum development, university reforms, and economic consultancy. Even post-retirement, he remains active in mentoring, research, and policy development.
