Ziporah Nyariki was born in the serene landscapes of Western Nyanza, Kisii County, Kenya. From humble beginnings, she has grown into a dedicated mental health specialist, passionate advocate, accomplished book writer, motivational speaker, and professional trainer.
Her journey is defined by resilience, purpose and a deep commitment to improving lives through mental health awareness and empowerment. As a mental health specialist and advocate, she has touched countless lives both locally and internationally, breaking barriers of stigma and promoting open conversations on wellness.
Ziporah privately runs a psychatric and addiction rehabilitation center in the suburbs of her hometown, Kisii. Through this facility, she provides compassionate, professional care to individuals struggling with mental conditions and substance abuse. Beyond her clinical work, she actively mentors learners from all levels: from lower classes to higher learning institutions, and extends her mentorship to wider audiences through various media houses, where she uses radio, television, and print platforms to educate, inspire, and guide communities on mental health and personal development.
As an author, Ziporah has written two ipactful books currently in the process of publication: Shuttered Bonds and Post-COVID-19 Mental Health. Her works as a motivational speaker and trainer allows her to connect with diverse audiences, empowering them to find strength even in their most challenging moments.
Guided by her personal philosophy: "Don't live simple for others to simply live, live simply to survive amidst a harsh world. I was born alone, and I will live for my sake." Ziporah embraces authenticity, self-reliance and determination.
