Prakriti Bhattarai was born on January 4, 1986, in Kathmandu, Nepal. Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of four in Patna, India, after medical professionals in Nepal were unable to determine her condition, she began her journey of resilience and empowerment.

Despite early rejection from mainstream education due to a lack of awareness and inclusion, she found a nurturing environment at the Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy (SGCP) Nepal, where she received special education and vocational training. There, she developed skills in sewing, arts and crafts, computer basics, and graphic design, which laid the foundation for her professional path.

She later worked in various roles, including receptionist and teacher in both mainstream and special schools, while continuing her studies privately, eventually completing her S.L.C. through open learning. In 2018, she received the Individual Employment/Entrepreneurship Award from ADAPT India on World Cerebral Palsy Day, recognizing her determination and leadership.

In 2020, she participated in ADAPT's "Community Initiatives in Inclusion" course through SAMA Nepal, where she received training in inclusive education, disability awareness, and stress management. She also developed her communication and English language skills, alongside yoga and mindfulness practice.

Currently, she serves as a computer operator at the Women's Development Branch, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, working on empowerment programs for women and people with disabilities. She has also led initiatives like the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. Her life stands as a beacon of hope, dignity, and determination for all persons with disabilities.
