Shoshana Karbasi is poet, an author of children's literature, poetry editor and also a professional storyteller, stories, from the women's heritage of Morrocan and Soanish Jewry.
Shoshana lives in Jerusalem, she is a mothor of five and her home also serves as a literary salon.
She holds a Master's degree in Cultural and Literary Studies from a university in Jerusalem, with additional academic training in Religious Studies, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. This interdisciplinary foundation provides a multifasceted perspective on cultural, textual, and spiritual phenomena.
Her writing deals with the status of women in traditional and modern societies. She writes social poetry, philosophic poetry, and personal poetry. Her poems are published in anthologies, magazines, anf even won the Ministry of education and culture award in Israel.
Shoshana's poems are taught in schools and are part of the culture basket for students.
She also writes lyrics in ladino language for her daughter, Mor Karbasi, who is an international musician.
