Suru Christiana is a 200-level student of English Language in the Department of English, Faculty of Arts, Lagos State University(LASU). She is passionate about exploring the power of language and literature and she's committed to deepening her understanding of how words influence culture, communication, and creativity.
As a writer, Christiana is known by her pen name, Christy_writes. Writing under this pen name. Christiana expresses herself through prose, poetry and reflective storytelling. Her writing is deeply emotional, reflective, and often laced with mystery, heartbreak, and quiet strength. She gravitates towards themes identity, inner confict, and the raw beauty of imperfection. Christiana writes across genres including psychological fiction, mystery, thriller, dark romance, and emotionally-driven poetry. She is a proud member of the Ingenious Weplolit Society(IWS) in LASU, a vibrant literary community that continues to sharpen her creativity, expose her to diverse writing styles, and support her growth as a young author.
Beyond the literary space, Christiana is also a dedicated member of the LASU Debate Society. Through this platform, she has honed her public speaking skills, mastered the art of persuasion, and built a strong prencence both on stage and in academic conversations, qualities that compliment her writing journey and leadership goals.
