Siyethemba Thwala is a young and upcoming poet based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was born on March 10, 1993, in a small town called Newcastle, situated in KwaZulu-Natal. His love for writing began at the tender age of 10, when he was still in grade 4. What started as a simple interest soon grew into a deep passion for poetry, shaping the creative journey that continues to define him today.
As he matured, Siyethemba's love for words found new dimensions when one of his friends introduced him to hip hop and rap. Recognizing the timeless connection between rap and poetry, he began to experiment with blending the two art forms. This opened up new avenues for his creativity, allowing him to sharpen his storytelling, rhythm, and lyrical expression. His dedication led him to share his work online, gaining both encouragement and an audience eager to connect with his words.
In early 2017, he discovered Fundza.mobi, a platform that further fueled his passion for literature. Inspired by the exposure and encouragement he received, he expanded his writing beyond poetry, venturing into scripts and short stories. Today, Siyethemba continues to build his voice as a versatile writer, determined to inspire, educate, and entertain through the power of words.
